My son, Joshua, was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the tender age of eleven. He is a healthy twenty- eight year old and remains my number one hero. I know the struggles diabetics face each day and realize love and support from those around them can help tremendously in their control. That's what it is all about! Controlling diabetes instead of letting it control you. Parents must take an active role in their child's diabetic care, not only physically, but also emotionally. I have organized this support group to help parents do just that!
